September is THE month of Chilean culture. Our National days are on this month. Well, here we have 2 national days:
  • September 18th, Independence day
  • September 19th Army's day

Well, I would say that September 11th is another day of celebration (Pinochet's strike), but that would give me certain problems here. LOL.

So this year we will have a 5-day-non-stop-full-celebration. So if you are near, you can come and visit us. You won't find Carnival nor sunny beaches but lots of booze and meat :D.

Well, this one is related to the last post, in some way.
I was on a party last Saturday, and there were a Danish guy (he is a really nice man). We were all talking about the snow and that -there were also a few Peruvians- and we all were really glad it had snowed in our city. Then Daniela asked to Matt (The Dane), what he thinks about us talking about snow...
His answer came: "oh it's like being in Africa"...
The silence came with a laughter.

Well, and we are still amazed with the snow....

Well, and something very odd happened last night. It started to snow in Santiago. That's the oddest thing that has ever happened here. Well it snows a little in the high parts of the city, but it is just a little. And yesterday it was real snow. A lot of snowflakes falling from sky. Here you have two pictures from my city under the snow. Ain't it beatiful?
